Bistro Grad Štanjel is located in a romantic castle courtyard in the hub of the medieval village of Štanjel, where you can indulge yourself with a modernised Karst cuisine, excelling in the harmony of flavours and fullness of colours and aromas.

During the Wild Flavours of the Karst and Brkini Festival, we offer:

Welcome appetiser: olive, olive oil, Piran salt, karst herbs
Q-Komel prosciutto, “frtalja” (scrambled eggs) with herbs, cottage cheese, hazelnuts, Teran wine extract
Creamy soup made from spring sprouts, goat yoghurt, corn crisps, olive oil with lemon
Ravioli filled with oxtail, celery root milk, crispy buckwheat, herb oil
Special home-made sorbet: winter savoury, Gin Brin (Karst juniper gin)
Leg of veal marinated in a tea made from karst herbs and cooked slowly in its own juice, wild garlic purée, shallots
Chocolate and red beet

Prices of lunch tasting menus:
3-course tasting menu: EUR 35/person
4-course tasting menu: EUR 40/person
5-course tasting menu: EUR 45/person

Opening hours

The menu is available from Thursday to Sunday from 12.00 to 16.00.
