Good traffic connections

The Karst lies on the western edge of Slovenia, along the border with Italy. It has good traffic connections from all directions, using standard forms of transport. The Karst is just 1-hour’s drive from Ljubljana and Venice, and less than half an hour’s drive from the Postojna Cave and the Slovenian coast. A journey by car from Trieste takes only a few minutes.

By car

From the directions of Ljubljana and Koper, take the A1 highway, which is connected via Sežana with the Italian highway A4. The Karst and Brkini are intersected by well-maintained regional and local roads.
