The Štanjel Castle Museum and a guided tour of Štanjel
Do you want to feel the power and cold of the Bora wind? You can encounter the Bora wind in the Štanjel Castle every day as the exhibition also features a wind tunnel where this local ‘sorcerer’ will clear your thoughts and “blow you away”!
The exhibition in the Štanjel Castle Museum is dedicated to the nature and people of the Karst. It is truly unique. You will not only get to know the Karst better but be able to hear, smell and touch it... The exhibition focuses on experiential learning about the Karst, its nature and culture, with each exhibition theme including an interactive moment that unveils a Karst mystery.
After visiting the museum, you will be taken on a tour of Štanjel by an experienced local tourist guide. He or she will recount plenty of stories about life in this special settlement since prehistoric times.
