Rendez-vous: Rose gardens of Villa Fabiani

Villa Fabiani is one of the most outstanding country mansions in the Primorska region. It is the home of the Slovenian architect Dr Maks Fabiani and the famous mulberry tree at the centre of the estate, which has been writing its own story for centuries.

The viticultural estate Villa Fabiani in the village of Kobdilj  will reopen its doors at the end of May and organise visits and events entitled “Rendez-vous: Rose Gardens of Villa Fabiani”!

Between 30 May and 5 June 2022, the estate is to host a series of interesting events.

For many years now, the estate's charm and epitome have been its rose gardens. Creating a romantic and refined ambiance, the blooming roses attract many visitors and add to the mansion’s already exceptional historical heritage.
This year’s series of events were named “Rendez-vous: Rose Gardens of Villa Fabiani”, as the gardens will be open parallel to the string of events named “Rendez-vous aux jardins”. The latter is being organised by the French Ministry of Culture. This initiative started in 2018 and since then has spread across many European gardens, with the aim to raise awareness about the cultural importance of historical gardens and parks. This year’s focus is on climate change.

The weekly programme will be spiced up with accompanying events:

Literary-music event: “The Throne of Poetry”,
organised by Ms Meta Kušar.

Thursday, 2 June at 17.00
