Kobal Wines
The Vina Kobal brand includes a selection of wines from the Karst, more specifically from Štanjel, the oldest settlement in the region created with hard work long ago by our ancestors. In this area, the several centuries’ old viticulture and winemaking heritage can be sensed in every piece of the land. The Vina Kobal wines have a special character – the maceration process takes between 24 and 240 hours, which adds the freshness, varietal traits and distinct Karst flavour. Our wine assortment provides a great choice of young fruity aromas. Does your heart melt while tasting raspberries, blueberries and blackberries, which add a special fragrance to wine? Perhaps you prefer full aromas of orange and other citruses, pear, acacia, vanilla or hazelnut?
The Vina Kobal wine cellar is proudly and enthusiastically dedicated to fostering the old winemaking heritage. With great respect for nature, we have been producing premium wines.
Wine creation always reflects the different stages in the maturity of grapes. In this way, we exploit the full potential of each grape variety. By using different methods and approaches to ageing our wines, from classic stainless-steel vessels through to typical oak barrels, and always ageing wines 100% on fine lees, i.e. the famous bâtonnage process, our wines are taken up to the next level.
