Hiša 88

We are a family that has continued the winemaking tradition under the name Starc Winery since 1980, in the heart of the Karst region, in the village of Tomaj. Our wine story began with Danilo Starc and was later continued by Bogomil Starc, who inherited his knowledge, experience and love of wine. Over the years, Bogomil and his wife Barbara expanded the family wine cellar, which today proudly stands for dedication, quality and authenticity.

Our desire to meet new people and share our story also inspired us to create the Hiša 88 accommodation.

Hiša 88 offers two modernly designed en-suite rooms, created to make our guests feel relaxed, comfortable and at home. The accommodation combines the warmth of a family home, a simple minimalist style and the authentic atmosphere of the Karst region.

One of the highlights of Hiša 88 is the beautiful view of the vineyards and the Karst landscape, which is captivating in every season. Each room can comfortably accommodate up to four guests. A large shared kitchen and a spacious outdoor terrace are also available. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything guests need to prepare their own meals.

Upon request, we are also delighted to organise tastings of Starc Winery wines or sparkling wines, giving our guests an opportunity to discover our family tradition and our passion for wine.
