Brestovica Asparagus festival

Every year in the middle of the season for wild asparagus, villagers from Brestovica pri Komnu organise a special event dedicated to asparagus. The locals exhibit various dishes made from wild asparagus and offer them for tasting.

The local Asparagus Festival is traditionally accompanied by a walking tour to the nearby hills and cycling. The cycle trail leads past a typical Karst event called osmica where cyclists can taste genuine homemade food.
