Srečko Kosovel is a true poetry legend and an icon among the youth as it represents a creative and considerate young man. Despite being only 22 when he died, it is one of the most respected Slovenian poets.
But how could he produce more than 1500 poems and leave us countless notes on arts, culture, science and politics at such a young age? Why is his work created over a century ago still so topical and able to address the modern men?
On an urban tour of the points of interest in Sežana and the surrounding area, young people will explore the life and work of Srečko Kosovel in the Karst region and learn about the circumstances that influenced and inspired him.
Can Kosovel push today’s youth to dig into and create poetry?
