House Orel

Located at the edge of the old village centre of Križ, Hiša Orel is a two-century-old house that has been completely renovated.

The house successfully intertwines the romanticism of the past and contemporary comfort. Most rooms feature original antique furniture and works of art, since its owners are passionate connoisseurs and collectors.

Two apartments are available:

• one for up to 5 guests
• the other for up to 4 guests.

Occasionally, the main house is also rented out (for up to 6 guests). The apartments come with air-conditioning, a cable TV, wi-fi and a parking space – all free of charge. Both apartments have direct access to a large terrace with a Jacuzzi, from where unforgettable views open up of the places near and far. 

A large Karst-style courtyard (‘borjač’) with a garden, a traditional well and a sauna enable all the privacy that those who appreciate close contact with nature need.

Our manager (and neighbour) Katjuša will take you on an expert tour of her Tavčar – pri Starčih wine cellar, where you will have the opportunity to taste wines and other culinary treats from the Karst. She will be happy to share information about hiking and cycling trails in the Karst as well as natural and cultural sights.
