Lokal shop and gallery

The gallery and shop “Lokal” presents the work of local artists, mainly craftspeople. Here you will find wood, stone and ceramic products, embroidered linen tablecloths, jewellery inspired by Lojze Spacal’s motifs and typical Štanjel wreaths. The central space is set up as a gallery, where local artist Metka Zver presents her wooden creations, creating bowls, lamps and plates on her lathe. Her products – with use of colours, textures and respect for the laws of the material used – go beyond mere useful value and are among the finest handicraft products recognised in Slovenia and internationally.
