Exploring the surface of the famous Škocjan Caves
Visit the Škocjan Caves Park and discover the unique surface features of these world-renowned caves.
The Škocjan Caves occupy a special place among caves both in Slovenia and around the world. Since 1986, they have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. More than two decades have passed since this part of the Karst was designated as the Škocjan Caves Regional Park.
Take a walk along the Škocjan Educational Trail, which has twice been awarded as the best thematic trail in Slovenia.

The price includes a guided tour of the Škocjan Educational Trail, access to museum exhibitions within the park, a walk through all three villages in the park, a visit to one of Slovenia’s largest collapse dolines, an observation of the Reka River as it disappears into the caves, a view of the natural bridge separating the two collapse dolines, a spectacular look at the famous waterfall in Velika dolina, and exploration of other natural and cultural attractions in the park. Visitors are also free to explore other marked trails in the park at their own pace.
Opening hours
The Škocjan Educational Trail is freely accessible, well-marked, and free of charge. For guided tours, advance reservation is required.
