The Karst and Brkini offer many free public carparks. In bigger places where carpark occupancy is higher in certain periods, the time of arrival must be indicated and put on display behind the front windshield. The time can be set on a parking disc or written on a white sheet of paper. In such areas, parking is time limited.
Parking is payable in some areas of Sežana and Štanjel. Payment in the marked zones is possible with cash or using the EasyPark application.
Some carparks offer free parking for a short period of time.
Illegal parking is subject to a fine imposed by the municipal warden service. The car owner receives a notice attached to the windshield and a payment order by regular mail.
