In the heart of the village, there is the oldest prosciutto-making plant in the Slovenian Karst – Pršutarna Lokev s'krasa. Here, we have been producing Karst dry-cured meat products for decades, following the traditional recipes of our grandparents and with the help of the unique Karst climate and the Bora wind. This is the land of the Karst prosciutto, Slovenia's most prestigious product.
You are invited to visit the Prosciutto Gallery and taste the best from the Karst. The secret is in the delicate aroma and the intense ruby colour, captured in the thin, juicy slice of the Karst prosciutto.
