Rebula Winery – wine tasting and tour of the winemaking farm
The Rebula Winery is located in Brestovica near Komen, a small Karst village right on the Italian border. Their speciality is their sparkling wines. The first sparkling wine was made from Malvazija, then called Br'stovska Penina, today with the new name Anastazija. In addition to Anastazija, they also have Vitovska, rosé and Teran sparkling wines, all made using the classical method, and excellent wines such as Teran, Malvazija and Vitovska Grganja.
You will visit their wine cellar, where you will taste a wide range of local sparkling and other wines during a guided tasting. This is followed by a tour of the estate and the sights of Brestovica village, such as the Chapel of St Anastasia, the nearby outflow cave and swallow hole as well as the ancient village settlement.
