The Fabiani Museum Shop in Lokev

The ‘frozen-in-time’ shop is now a museum.

Fabiani’s shop in the Lokev village was founded in 1869 and operated without interruption until 1948. The family has kept it in its former appearance and, today, the shop is a unique museum with several thousand exhibits, inviting one on a journey through the trading history and recounting the Fabiani family’s story as traders.

This is the only completely preserved shop from the first half of the 20th century in Slovenia.
