Teran Circular Trail

Dutovlje is a Karst village famous for its excellent red wine called Teran. In the centre of the village, in the square in front of the Bunčetova homestead, a pleasant and also informative path across the Karst landscape starts. It takes you on a journey back through history, revealing the typical Karst architecture and ancient culture. The trail runs on non-difficult forest and village paths, past many vineyards that appear differently in every season of the year. Many information boards are found along the trail, presenting the historical records and testimonials of times gone past. A visit to a winemaker and the tasting of Teran can turn a hike into a unique adventure. Travellers will be taken aback by the beautiful views of the vineyards, dry-stone walls and idyllic stone villages.
