Škrateljn Homestead – Museum of Slovenian film actors

60 min
The program will be available again in the period from June to August, when KrasPass Summer will take place in the Karst and Brkini.

Ita Rina, whose real name was Ida Kravanja, as a native of Karst, was curiously exploring the smells and tastes of the picturesque karst meadows since she was a child. She grew up on a typical karst homestead in Divača, surrounded by unique dry grasslands and karst gmajna, which is considered one of the oldest European cultural landscapes with exceptional biodiversity. In the Herbal and ethnological homestead Belajevi (1839) in Kačiče, near the Škocjan Caves Park, they cultivate herbs with care and love, to make the most satisfying tea. At her birth homestead, Andrejka Cerkvenik, as the sixth generation of the Belajevi family, carries on the tradition of devotion to nature and heritage, and is glad to share her experiences with all the enthusiasts of luxurious natural treasures, heritage and authentic tastes. We will also make you feel closer to the latter in the museum ambience of a typical example of karst architecture. You will learn about the life of the first Slovenian film star Ita rina, and at the same time taste a piece of Karst nature.

You are invited to Škratelj's homestead, that today hosts the Museum of Slovenian Film Actors, where you will be served fragrant tea in the house where Ita Rina, the world-famous film diva from Divača, grew up.
