Pork fat pot

Prize of the Municipality of Sežana in 2009 for the tourist souvenir.

Seventy years ago, the locals from the Karst used stone pots for storing pork fat, into which they immersed dry-cured sausages. The pot had a wooden lid. 
In memory of times past, this miniature replica can be used to store herbs, spices, sugar, etc.

The pot can be made in various sizes. The material is the karst stone called Repen, while the lid is made from cherry wood. 

The price of this culinary souvenir is EUR 32.
