Free bus rides
This summer the Karst, Brkini and Slovenian Istria will be connected by two free bus lines.
KOLO BUS is a bus service for passengers and cyclists running from 2 July to 26 September 2021 on a circular route: Koper – Kozina – Rodik – Škocjanske jame – Lipica – Divača – Sežana – Štanjel – Sežana – Divača – Škocjanske jame – Rodik – Kozina – Koper.
A bus equipped with a special trailer for bicycles (KOLO BUS) will provide services every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 to 11:34 and from 17:00 to 20:34. The bus departs from the main bus station in Koper. It is not possible to reserve a seat on the bus.
KOPALNI BUS is a free bus service for passengers, running every day from 1 July to 31 August 2021 on a circular route: Obrov – Javorje near Obrov – Huje – Rjavče – Tatre – Orehek near Materija – Slivje near Materija – Markovščina – Materija – Tublje near Hrpelje – Hrpelje – Krvavi Potok – Kozina – Klanec near Kozina – Petrinje – Koper (the Soča station in the centre). In the morning (Obrov–Koper) the bus service will run from 8:00 to 9:34 and in the afternoon (Koper–Obrov) from 18:00 to 19:25.
It is not possible to reserve a seat on the bus. The bus timetable is published on the CROSSMOBY project’s Facebook page and website.
The KOLO BUS and KOPALNI BUS services belong to pilot activities of the CROSSMOBY project, under the Interreg V-A Italy-Slovenia 2014–2020 cooperation programme, which is also partnered with the Regional Development Centre in Koper.
