10:00 ~ ART EXPERIENCE IN ŠTANJEL WITH URŠA VADNJAL, whose works are currently on display in one of the castle rooms. Price: €55/person (includes all materials, a welcome drink, and dessert).
A creative experience to take home on canvas. An intimate gathering in a small group—only 12 spots available.
What will we create and how? A modern motif to which you will add a piece of yourself. Over the course of 2 to 3 hours, we will go through the entire process, from a blank canvas to your brand-new wall art. We won't be learning rigid, classical rules; instead, we will step into a world of bold colors, expressive strokes, and discovering your own unique artistic voice.
What do you need? Just yourself and a desire to create. No prior experience is necessary. The workshop is a safe space for exploration, where mistakes simply do not exist. Best of all, you get to take home your very own original artwork.
12.00 ~ THE TRADITION OF PROSCIUTTO AND THE HIDDEN STORIES OF THE KARST Price: €29/person (includes visit the former Q KOMEL prosciutto-making plant, tasting of authentic Karst flavours, guided tour of Štanjel).
Our journey will begin at Štanjel Castle, where you will visit the former Q KOMEL prosciutto-making plant, now a museum. After the visit, enjoy a tasting of authentic Karst flavours. Next, enjoy a guided tour of Štanjel, one of the oldest villages in the Karst with the Ferrari Garden and Nataljia's house, home to the permanent exhibition “The Tree, the Architect and the Garden”.
15:00 ~ 'SEARCHING FOR THE KARST' WINE CHALLENGE – a wine experience that is not quite a typical wine tasting. Price: €45/person (includes blind tasting - 2 courses of 3 types of wine, water and grissini/bread to neutralize the taste, thematic workshop guidance).
Wine Challenges are interactive, thought-provoking themed wine tastings hosted by Vino, Slovenia’s most prestigious wine magazine, published continuously for more than 20 years. They are designed for curious wine lovers. No prior wine knowledge is required – just an open mind and a desire to explore. That certainly doesn’t mean, however, that Wine Challenges aren’t equally fascinating for experienced wine enthusiasts!
At this edition, In Search of the Karst, we’ll compare a range of wines and explore what sets wines from the Karst apart from those of other wine-growing regions – and why.
