Kmetija Ukmar farm
Visit the family-run viticulture and winemaking farm, home to the current Teran Wine Queen. The farm, which has been producing various types of wine and other local products for many years, is located in the heart of the beautiful Karst village of Ponikve. The Ukmar family is proud of its range of wines, including Teran, Malvazija and Cabernet Sauvignon, and they also recommend tasting the Teran sparkling wine and the Teran liqueur.
The wine experience at the Kmetija Ukmar farm is complemented by dry-cured meat products and the unique environment of the typical Karst courtyard called ‘borjač’.
Groups of up to 30 people are welcome by prior arrangement at the traditional Karst ‘borjač’ and wine cellar.
