The Mahorčič restaurant in the village of Rodik, led by the internationally recognised chef Ksenija and host Martin, has succeeded in joining the prestigious JRE – Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe association. Their philosophy is to preserve the genuine flavours of local ingredients, emphasized by the chef’s creativity. Ksenija Krajšek Mahorčič was among only 10 nominees of the prestigious JRE ‘Heritage award 2017', whereas the culinary guide Gault&Millau Slovenia has given her 3 Hats and the Best Pastry Chef 2020 award, noting that Ksenija is the most ingenious thing to have happened in the Slovenian culinary world.
