The first part of the workshop has you walk by yourself through the village of Štanjel. While exploring the narrow alleys, you’ll discover the world of the painter and graphic artist Lojze Spacal. His artistic expression abounds with surfaces, structures and symbolism. You can explore the peculiarities of urban planning and architecture in the Karst using a brochure that will direct you to architectural details at many locations. At the same time, you’ll be invited to explore your own creativity. At the end of the walk across Štanjel, you will have better knowledge of stonecutting and other elements of the urban space in the Karst. While holding a bunch of material under your arm, you will enter the ‘Gajžarjeva ustvarjalnica’ atelier ready to create your own colour linocut print. You can print make two copies of the graphic and take them home with you. You’ll be served traditional Karst prosciutto and a glass of Teran wine in ‘Grajžarjeva Marenda’.
The programme includes: a walk through Štanjel village (following the instructions in the brochure), a graphic art workshop, and a culinary treat consisting of prosciutto and Teran wine.
