Budin-Tavčar wine cellar
The story of the Budin-Tavčar wine cellar dates all the way back to 1607. Over 400 years, the winemakers here have always strived for progress. In the past, the wine cellar was known as the Pr'kšarjevih farm where operated one of the first prosciutto-drying plants in the Karst.
Today, they engage in winegrowing and winemaking. They will satisfy all of your cravings with a tasting of the Teran, Vitovska Grganja, Malvazija and Cabernet Sauvignon wines. They always serve wine alongside homemade dry-cured meats. The motto inscribed in the tasting room of the Budin-Tavčar wine cellar will remind that you are exactly where you ought to be: “It’s time for the Karst, so visit us”.
