Secrets of the Škratelj Homestead
In the centre of Divača stands the Škratelj Homestead, a remarkable example of Karst architecture dating back to the 17th century. The house displays typical Karst elements, which are intertwined with the renovation of the adjacent stable and barn. The building has been protected as an ethnological monument since 1992. The architects Matjaž Bolčina, Ernest Milčinovič and Teja Savelli were awarded the prestigious Plečnik Prize in 2011 for the renovation of the Škratelj Homestead into the Museum of Slovenian Film Actors. As part of the Secrets of the Škratelj Homestead experience, embark on a journey to discover the history and architectural features of this unique Karst monument through play and exploration. The experience concludes with a small tasting of local delicacies reflecting the traditions of the Karst region.
